Stressed teams are not too busy to fix the problem.
They’re busy because of the problem.
Daily rework. Walking waste. Layouts that looked better on paper. Unclear quality specs. Workarounds, interruptions, backlogs. Overtime you can’t sustain.
You’ve been in this plant long enough that the waste looks normal. It seems broken, but it’s just running on brute force.
I watch until I see it — the stupid‑simple constraints that are stealing your capacity.
You run the factory. I fix the thing you stopped noticing.
The only manufacturing consultant in Northeast Ohio who walks into a factory, finds what’s actually wrong with the system, fixes it with what’s already there, and guarantees results on every project — without a new capital investment, a training program, new IT software, or a 6‑month engagement.
For in‑depth studies and results, see Mitch’s previous work in the Cleveland - Akron corridor @ mrconsult.ing/successes.

When’s the last time you could dedicate 40 hours to one task?
Okay, not fair.
How about 40 minutes?
40 seconds?
Every disruption may seem minor, but in the daily 1,000 piece puzzle a plant manager calls a workday…
As a factory leader, somebody needs to work on the edges and corners so you can handle the big picture.
We work on root causes while you run the factory.

Meet the Industrial Engineer Behind Factory Physicians
Mitch Robinson, BSIE — Purdue University

Today he’s a Process Improvement Professional specializing in manufacturing operations, Lean problem‑solving, and fixing the hidden constraints that slow down Northeast Ohio plants.
Example: A medical device manufacturer was swinging between 1%–15%+ defects, with no pattern.
We found the root cause: vague spec sheet - acceptance criteria was a gray area.
Tiny blemishes required a microscope, and through study and sampling, we determined operators and QA inspectors were making different judgment calls. Everyone had clear visual examples of “perfect” and “destroyed,” but nothing for the gray area in between — so every shift used their own opinion.
We photographed real borderline cases.. good and bad, rewrote the spec with clear visual examples, and aligned operators and QA on what was acceptable and what wasn’t.
Suddenly, defects dropped from ~12% to ~0.004% — from 120 defects per thousand to under four (4) per thousand.
Customer returns disappeared.
Output jumped by 1,000+ units per month.
A single diagram had been causing three different problems.
